Who knows your divine power and nature
You who are the substratum of the illusory world
Thousands and thousands of beings
search for the light of Consciousness that you are

jeevitha bhaavamay jeevante jeevanaay
jeeva kaarunya prathikaamaayi
snehaathireka svaroopamaay mevunna
jeevamrithanandini devi

You are the life in everything and the Self of the jeeva (substratum of jeeva or reflected Consciousness is Brahman)
You are the basis of compassion for jeevas
You are of the nature of overflowing love
You are the mother of immortality and bliss as the jeeva (substratum or essence) of all beings

thaapasaraadhini taapasamhaarini
taapasaanugraha bhaavanaangi
taarunyame mana laavanyame varu
taaraka sopaaname devi

You are worshipped through austerity and are remover of sorrows
You are the one blessing after a person does austerities
O conquerer of the mind, give me some compassion
O Mother who are the immortality that saves us from samsaara
