Song of the week ending 12, December 2008

Virahatti padarunnen hridayathil amme kanivinte paneneer koodayaan varille
Thirayunnu njaan dure maruvunnu njaan amme azhalaalum aatmaavin ini yennu shaanthi

Searching for bliss, bees of my mind are searching O AMMA! Won't you shower the water of compassion on me?
I have been searching everywhere O AMMA! When will my Self get peace of mind?

Manamulla viriyunnu thoovennilaavil orunokku kanikaanaan uzhalunen ullam
Anayillayo hritthil anayumbol nee aarum parayaathe thaniye ariyum maheshi

The flower of the heart is blossoming and therefore I am waiting to get just a glimpse of you (as the Self)
The sorrows of the heart will not vanish and when they vanish, I will automatically know without anyone telling me.

Azhalinte veyilettu valayunnen hridayam thazhukaam nin snehathin karathaaranaykku
Thiriyilla njaan paada vediyilla njaan ninne ariyaanullathimoham vediyilla njaan

Bearing the sun rays (worldly sorrows), my heart is fading off; will you not shower your love unto me?
I will not go back on this journey to bliss; I will never ever let go of the desire for bliss

This is a beautiful and touching song set in Raga Pahaadi (might be wrong here). This song is originally sung by Swami Amritasvaroopananda very beautifully. This recording is just a humble effort from one of AMMA's small child. The song has been recorded in my voice which can be found here.
