Song of the week ending 2, January 2009

Gopa balaka gokuleshwara gopika hridaya nandana
devaki tanaya deenapaalana deva deva danujaanthaka

The son of nandagopa, one who is the stealer of the heart of gopis
The son of Devaki, protector of people in distress, protecting the devas and destroying enemies; I sing your name

Rama sodara ramesha sundara
Raadhika sukha vivardhana
raaga lola murali manohara
raasa keli raasa lolupa

Brother of rama, most beautiful among men
Increasing the happiness of raadhika
One who plays beautiful ragas using his flute
One who indulges in raasa leela, I sing your name

Mukunda maadhava manjulaalana
makarakundala sumandithaa
Manda manda gamanaa manohara
manoramana murali gaayaka

O Mukunda, one who is the consort of Lakshmi, one who is ever blissful
One who wears various ornaments
One who walks slowly like a child
One who plays the flute and covets the mind of people

Venu vaadaka varaabhayaprada
shyaamalaanga saraseeruhekshana
Chaaru sheela sakaalagama samsthutha
vaasudeva tava mangalam

One who plays the flute and is the giver of boon-protection to devotees
One who has blue complexion and lotus-like eyes
One whose smile is very beautiful and praised by all the scriptures
O Vaasudeva, may good happen to you - I sing your names

This is a very beautiful song originally sung by Swami Amritasvaroopananda. It is set partially in Desh Raga (though it doesn't have all the characteristics of Desh - maybe some other mix-raga). The song praises Lord Krishna. The song has been recorded in my voice which can be found here.
