Song of the week ending 3, Aug 2007

sirme mayur mukut dhare
karme mohan murali liye
manme yamuna that me shyaam
raag manohar jod rahe
Having the crown made of peacock feather in the head
Having the beautiful flute in the hand
Having yamuna in the mind and Krishna on the shores
Beautiful raag was being played

sunmuraleerav gokula me
vrajlalanayen vyaakula ho
sajdhajchalni kalee jaldi
sabmil raas rachaane ko
Seeing the sound of flute in gokul
The people of vraj became vyaakula (as if they wanted to see Krishna that very moment)
They started running immediately towards the shores
To take part in the play of Krishna

nab me chandni udit huyi
bhooparchandan gandh bhari
nandan kaalindeethat me
sundar raas rachaane ko
Moon rose in the skies
There was beautiful fragrance in Earth
Nandan (Krishna) was on the shores of Kalindi
To play the beautiful play of his

surmuni sab vrindavan ke
madhumaynaach nihaar rahe
sab jag chanchalathaa tajke
sahaj samaadhime leen huye
All the god-saints in Vrindaavan
Danced to the beautiful tunes of the Maya of Lord
The entire world after renouncing "changes"
Got engrossed in natural samaadhi (of the Self)

This song is set in Des Raag. The words are meaningful and beautiful, the tune is ecstatic and can lead any devotee to Samadhi. Again due to IPR violations cannot upload the mp3 of swamiji singing. Hence have recorded the song in my voice which can be found here. Please bear the noise, disturbance and awful singing as am not a singer.
