Song of the week ending 1, May 2009

Govardhanagiri kudayaaki gopika raadhaye sakhiyaakki
Gopa kumara en hridayam gokulam aakki

O Krishna! one who made the govardhana parvatha an umbrella, the gopis and radha as his friends
O Gopa's son, you have made my mind gokulam (filled with eternal bliss)

Nizhaline neela nilaavaay maattum murali mohana nin gaanam
Karalil punyam vitharunnu priyathara sridhara naamam

O Krishna! Your beautiful song removes darkness and makes sky filled with blueness
My mind is getting purified by chanting your beautiful and liked name

Azhaline ellaam madhuvaay maattum karalil maadhava nin bhaavam
Uyiril premam pothiyunnu sukhakara sundara roopam

You make even shadows beautiful through your emotions, one who lives in the heart of people
My life is filled with love through your blissful beautiful form

This is a very beautiful song sung in an extra-ordinary way by Swami Amritasvaroopananda Puri. It speaks about how the devotee makes Krishna abide in his mind and heart -- thereby all names and forms become that of divine Krishna giving the devotee immense bliss. This is another of those songs whose meaning is simple but the devotional and blissful tune is something that has to be experienced. The song sung in my voice can be found here.
