I prostrate the light of this entire world who is the son of hari and hara and who is both hari and hara.
O Lord! I have fallen into this shoreless ocean of samsaara, please help me in getting on to the shore O resider of my heart.

Punya paapa chumadenthi pathinettam padi keraan
thampuraane adiyane anugrahikku

In order to climb the hill and the 18 steps with the burden of punya (virtue) and paapa (vice), O Lord bless me.

This is a very simple song set in Brindavani Sarang raga and originally sung by Swami Pranavaamritananda Puri. This is in the form of a prayer to Lord Ayyappa to help the devotee climb the mountain in the month of makara jyothi (january). The song sung in my voice can be found here.
