Song of the week ending 17, Aug 2007

guruvaayoorpura sreehari krishna naarayana gopal
mukunda maadhava muralidhaari sreehari krishna

My Prostrations to Krishna who lives in the town of guruvayoor, is all-pervasive (narayana), a cow-herd (gopal), dear to all, wife of Lakshmi and player of flute.

maadhava madhusudana hari naarayana gopal
mohana muralidhaari murari naarayana gopal
govardhana giridhaari murari naarayana gopal

O Krishna! You are wife of Lakshmi, son of Madhu, destroyer of evil/attracter of everything, all-pervasive, attractive, player of flute, killer of asura mura and lifter of the govardhana mountain.

This song is a small beautiful bhajan praising Lord Krishna as situated in the town of guruvayoor. The words are simple with names of Krishna. This song is sung beautifully by Swami Pranamritananda Puri(one of AMMA's sanyaasi disciple). This bhajan is one of Swamiji's favorites though the cassette where it is available is out of stock since 17 years:). The song has been recorded in my voice which can be found here. Please bear the noise, disturbance and awful singing as am not a singer.
