On one side, ishwara is all pervasive and other side ishwara cannot be known -- the dual split of vedanta, knowing is with ego whereas seeing ishwara everywhere is going beyond ego and duality.

The body doesn't exist in dream state, therefore I am not the body
If I am the body, it will lead to destruction of whatever we have done (and not yet enjoyed before death - actions done but no results)
and it will lead to enjoyment of fruits for which we haven't done any actions (after birth, we enjoy stuff initially - enjoyment is there but no actions was performed)
Also because the body is an object (whereas I am subject), therefore I am not the body. (when sada is used to get to the first para, it means "always contemplate that I am not the body")

I am not the body which comes and goes
I am not the body which constantly changes

shows him as a destroyer of enemies
protecting people
and as a brahmachari (celibate - small kid)

Therefore the seen duality is an illusion alone

Many scriptures have proclaimed that Brahman alone is everything
Also duality is impossible as there are faults in duality (dealt in next para)

brahmaadvaitameva sarvakaaleshu
tadeva bhagavatprokthaaham

Duality or differences is relative; thus there is the fault of self-dependency and infinite regression; hence duality is unreal
Non-dual Brahman alone is there at all times
That Brahman alone is what the Lord terms as "I"
