sankara bhashyakaara
acharya vedajnaathaa
bhakthaa sthuthikarthaa
rakshathu samsaaraat

Sankara who has written commentaries
One who preaches and leads the way (acharya) and knower of the Vedas
Devotee and writer of many praises
Save me from samsaara

tvameva aashrayam
jnaanamarge
anyah kah api
naasthi tvadvad

You alone are the refuge
in this path of knowledge
There is no one else
like you

bhashyagranthasthuthisametha
bahukrithibhih (krityaa) advaita padam
samshayarahitham spastam vishadeekarothi

Through commentaries, works, praises etc. 
you have beyond doubt and clearly established the state of advaita
 
shanmathasthaapakam chaturvedaposhakam cha
dashavidhasanyaasavidhimapi
mataprathistaanarupena lokasangrahaartham karothi

Establishing the six philosophies, nourishing the four vedas
establishing the ten types of sanyaasis
through your matas and for the benefit of the world, you have done

yasya pradarshitha margena
gatvaa praapnothi brahma padam
yasya vaakyavinaa ajnaana
saagaram kadaachit na tarathi
yasya bhashya vina vividha
vedanta darshanam naasthi
tasya angri padmam namaami
vedantaanustaanam karomi

Through whose prescribed path a person will attain Brahman
Without whose words/works, ocean of ignorance will never be crossed over
Without whose commentaries the other vedanta philosophies (like dvaita, vishistadvaita) are not there
His lotus feet I prostrate and I will implement Vedanta
